For those of you whose old rubber subframe bushings are worn out, but new solid aluminium ones are a bit too stiff and uncomfortable..
I made this POM bushing set for your 2G front and rear subframe.
Made out of POM (polyoxymethylene) with an aluminium insert pressed in.
It has a better cushioning effect than aluminium ones, yet are still solid.

Prices are:
Front subframe set - $160
Rear subframe set - $160

Hey y'all just got done with the install not to bad. i used a 1/2" extension in the metal hole in the mounts and hit it with a BFH and they pop right out. Small ones have a metal sleeve so you can't bang them.

I used a 3/4 " socket and an 18mm socket with a control arm bolt and subframe nut to "press" them out. You can do the same to put the new delrin bushings in. I got them started with a hammer and used the bolt to press them all in pretty easy.

Subframe bolts 2x MR198095
Subframe nuts 4x MB242260
Washer for subframe bolts 2x MB303652

Dude makes a nice precision fitting bushing. Here's some finished pics from my talon.

I'm in for front subframe set! I wish I would have bought them all from you, but I mixed and matched with the solid VOLK diff bushings and the torque solution rear bushings...... smh.

Do you still have these available? Need a full set asap

Undecided on whether to go with these or solid aluminum bushings. A few of you have been running these for a several years now, I’m interested to hear from you how these bushings are holding up.

Wear and tear - Any noticeable wear? Any need to replace them? Any failures?

Installation - how difficult are these to install when compared to aluminum ones? I’ve seen videos of people struggling a LOT to get the aluminum bushings into the subframe.

Performance - how do these perform compared to solid aluminum bushings?

The answer to most of your questions is actually personal preference. How do YOU want the car to handle.. how do YOU plan to use the vehicle.. how often will YOU drive the vehicle.. etc.

Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages. There have been no known issues with either material that I know of so far. I boil it down to how and what will you be using the car for. Anything less than a racecar and I suggest the POM bushings from Dude. They are way tighter than the oem rubber and responsive without being completely solid. With the aluminum ones you are literally going to pass ANY vibration through to the chassis. That means you will hear and feel every single little thing on the road. Racecar, who cares, that's the point. Daily driver, you are losing a huge streetability section due to noise and feel.

Just my experience and opinion with both though.

That’s fair. I’m definitely not building a race car that’s why I’m considering these more and more.
How was the install, especially the rear diff bushings? Are they just as difficult to install as the aluminum ones?

Thanks for the quick reply btw!
